Help Deliver Life-Saving Medications to Southern Haiti

There is currently an acute shortage of medication and medical supplies contributing to Haiti’s ongoing humanitarian crisis. We urgently need your help to raise $55,000 to deliver life-saving medications and supplies to our team, who will distribute them at our clinic, the Infirmary St. Etienne, and our partner healthcare facilities across southern Haiti, where they will ultimately benefit the children and families who need them most.

As you may have read, Hope for Haiti helped organize the first two flights carrying humanitarian aid to land in Haiti since the escalation of unrest, arriving this past April and May. The flights carried multiple pallets of vitamins, personal protective equipment, oral rehydration solution (ORS), and medicine for asthma, diabetes, and other chronic illnesses.

The ORS, in particular, will be utilized to support our ongoing efforts to treat dehydration and respond to cholera outbreaks, particularly amidst the gang violence that has impeded aid delivery for many healthcare providers across the country. We also are in the process of organizing additional shipments to be brought into the country to help meet these needs thanks to our gift-in-kind partners, MAP International, Americares, and CMMB.

These shipments of much-needed medicine and supplies are so close to being able to help children and families in southern Haiti, but we need your help to support the last-mile delivery costs, including customs, transportation in the country, and delivery to our patients and our partners.

Your support will also help transport future shipments of medications and medical supplies, ensuring that our team can continue to meet the urgent medical needs of the communities we serve.
